Honeywell Aerospace strengthens AGT1500 supply chain through increased investment in production and readiness

Nearly $100 million invested over the past three years strengthens manufacturing capacity for Abrams operators worldwide

PHOENIX, October 12, 2026 – Honeywell Aerospace (NASDAQ: HONA) today announced an increased investment in the AGT1500 gas turbine engine program, reinforcing the company's commitment to strengthening production capacity, supply-chain resilience and long-term support for Abrams operators around the world.

For more than 45 years, the AGT1500 has powered the M1 Abrams family of military vehicles, delivering the mobility and performance required in some of the world's most demanding operating environments. As Abrams fleets continue to serve the U.S. Army and allied militaries around the globe, Honeywell Aerospace is making additional investments to ensure the industrial base, engineering expertise and sustainment infrastructure needed to support operators is available for decades to come.

Over the past three years, Honeywell Aerospace has invested nearly $100 million across its AGT1500 supply chain and production network. These investments include supplier development initiatives, multi-sourcing strategies for critical components, manufacturing equipment and tooling upgrades, strategic material buffer stocks, and expanded internal manufacturing capabilities designed to improve supply assurance and support customer readiness requirements.

"Supporting the venerable AGT1500 requires more than just ordering parts from suppliers. It requires sustained investment across the entire industrial base that supports them," said Kathy Worthen, senior vice president and chief supply chain officer at Honeywell Aerospace. "We are strengthening manufacturing capacity, investing in our supply chain and expanding critical capabilities across the AGT1500 ecosystem to ensure Abrams operators have the support they need today and well into the future."

A recent example of that commitment is Honeywell Aerospace's accelerated qualification of its internal precision machining Center of Excellence facility as an approved supplier of the AGT1500 compressor impeller, a critical engine component. The effort established an additional manufacturing source for a key part, helping strengthen supply-chain resilience and improve support for Army readiness requirements under the U.S. Army's Total Integrated Engine Revitalization (TIGER) program.

Through close coordination across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and customer support teams, Honeywell Aerospace accelerated qualification and production activities, delivering hardware months ahead of schedule. As a result, supply of the component has doubled, eliminating a key supply constraint that had affected Abrams fleet availability and demonstrates Honeywell Aerospace's ability to rapidly qualify and operationalize new production sources when customers need them most.

The AGT1500 delivers 1,500 horsepower and has accumulated more than 40 million operating miles supporting Abrams fleets worldwide. Honeywell Aerospace continues to support modernization and sustainment efforts through programs such as TIGER, providing operators with greater engine performance, reliability and operational availability throughout the platform's lifecycle.
