Ready to Fly: Honeywell Installs JetWave X in Falcon 900

Discover how Honeywell JetWave X transforms connectivity on the Falcon 900, delivering fast, reliable inflight Wi-Fi for business aviation.

2 mins read

Honeywell took a big step forward in June by installing its groundbreaking JetWave X multi-network satellite communications system in a company-owned Dassault Falcon 900—marking the first time the next-generation system has been deployed on a business jet.

Functional testing began in July, and the JetWave X team expects to make a live over-the-air connection from the aircraft to the F1 Viasat-3 satellite in the third quarter, according to Tamara Roberts, Director of Product Management for Honeywell. “These are exciting times for the JetWave X program,” she said.

“We have several important firsts ahead of us as we move steadily toward certification in the fourth quarter of 2025. It’s exciting to see the team’s hard work come to fruition and the system ready to operate outside the lab.”

JetWave X Sets New SATCOM Standards

Honeywell will use the Falcon 900 to develop and test JetWave X under real-world conditions and demonstrate its capabilities to customers starting this fall. JetWave X has already been selected by Bombardier and Dassault for new aircraft installations, with additional customers expected to be announced soon.

JetWave X is the first multi-network SATCOM system designed to deliver triple-digit speeds and reliable connectivity anywhere in the world. It can switch seamlessly between satellite networks, including the Viasat and Inmarsat constellations, ensuring uninterrupted global connectivity.

The development team also successfully demonstrated the ease of upgrading from the classic JetWave system previously installed on the Falcon 900 to JetWave X. The smart design made the upgrade simple by requiring no changes to the existing radome and wiring, resulting in faster installation, lower costs and minimal downtime to unlock next-level connectivity.

Honeywell 360 Display for Rugged Ground Vehicles

For military and civilian ruggedized vehicle operators, the 360 Display improves reaction speed, safety and survivability by increasing visibility in low-visibility or hazardous conditions. The helmet-mounted display integrates real-time external camera feeds with sensor data, placing critical information directly in the operator’s field of view. This reduces the need to look down at instruments, keeping attention where it matters most – on the surrounding environment.

Whether in the air or on the ground, the Honeywell 360 Display offers operators an unprecedented level of visibility, situational awareness and operational confidence.

Every horizon. Every mission. Every day.
