Simplifying The Regulatory Readiness Process
The Regulatory Readiness Level (RRL) is a new metric proposed by Honeywell to objectively measure progress toward civil certification of an aircraft. Developed for the common good of the AAM ecosystem, it provides a clear and simple checklist of the tasks required to complete each step of the process.
This revised version adds Type Certification by European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) to the original version that covered Type Certification by the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and Operational Approval to perform revenue service as a Part 135 Operator.
