The Legal Bases for Processing Your Personal Information

Certain jurisdictions require Honeywell Aerospace to have a legal basis for processing your personal information. Where this applies, the legal basis we rely on will depend on the personal information concerned and the specific context in which we collect it. We process your personal information on one or more of the following legal bases, to the extent permitted by applicable law:

Who We Share Your Personal Information With

Honeywell Aerospace will only share your personal information with third parties under the following circumstances:

  • Honeywell Aerospace affiliates. We may share your personal information with other affiliates located in jurisdictions around the world to evaluate your profile and consideration for any recruitment opportunities at a group level.
  • Service providers. We may specifically share your personal information with third-party service providers that provide specific services on our behalf (for example, recruitment and outsourcing staffing providers and analytics providers). We may also use third parties to assess applicants’ competencies for the job role on our behalf. Such third parties may vary depending on your country or region and will change from time to time but may include Oracle, HireRight, Korn Ferry, SHL Global Management and their respective third-party providers.
  • Honeywell Aerospace employees. If you are already a Honeywell Aerospace employee, please note that some sections on your profile are public and, therefore, visible to all Honeywell Aerospace employees (specifically, your name, title, photograph, skills, interest areas, work experience and education). However, such sections are editable, and you will be able to choose which information about you is shown in your profile.
  • Other third parties. Honeywell Aerospace may share your personal information with any competent law enforcement body, regulator, government agency, court or third party where we believe the disclosure is necessary under applicable law or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to exercise, establish or defend our legal rights or to protect your vital interests or those of another person. We may also share your personal information with others with your consent or at your direction (e.g., a referee or professional association).

International Transfers of Personal Information

Honeywell Aerospace is a global organization, and your personal information may be transferred to, held, stored, or used across various locations worldwide such as the US, Mexico, Czech Republic and India. This means that when we collect your personal information it may be processed in countries or regions that may have data protection laws that are different to the laws of your country or region of residence. However, Honeywell Aerospace will always take reasonable steps to protect your privacy and to provide a level of protection of personal information that is comparable to that of your country or region of residence which may include implementing the Standard Contractual Clauses of the European Commission or any other jurisdiction.

Retention

If you apply for a position, we will store your profile information for the duration of the application process for the position you have applied for. After the conclusion of the application process, we will retain your personal information for as long as necessary in connection with the purposes described in this Privacy Notice and in accordance with Honeywell Aerospace's Record Retention Schedule or as required by applicable law. We may retain your personal information longer than required by applicable law where legal obligations or the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims make a longer retention necessary. If you are successful in your application, your application and candidate profile information will be retained as part of your employment record.
