Washington Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy for Honeywell Aerospace

This policy supplements the Honeywell Aerospace Privacy Statement and applies to personal data defined as “consumer health data” subject to the Washington State My Health My Data Act (MHMDA). Please read this policy in conjunction with the Terms and Conditions.

Our collection of information

Honeywell Aerospace does not typically collect “consumer health data” as defined under MHMDA and we generally do not request that you provide us with such consumer health data. However, if you or a third-party voluntarily provides us with consumer health data through Honeywell Aerospace’s communication channels, then we may collect data that identifies your past, present, or future physical or mental health status directly in such circumstances. Such data may include:

  • Information identifying a health condition, treatment, disease, diagnosis, diagnostic testing, treatment, or medication as a result of use of our products or services, such as for adverse reporting.
  • Bodily functions, vital signs, symptoms, or your measurements.

We highly encourage our consumers not to disclose any consumer health data to Honeywell Aerospace.

Honeywell Aerospace may collect biometric information such as facial recognition scanning, for health, safety, and security screening and other administrative functions as described in Honeywell Aerospace Privacy Statement. Such information may constitute “consumer health data” as defined by the MHMDA.

Disclosure of information

We do not, to the best of our knowledge “sell” or “share” your consumer health data, as defined under the MHMDA. However, if consumer health data is received by Honeywell Aerospace, we may disclose each of the categories of consumer health data described above.

We may disclose your consumer health data with selected third parties in accordance with applicable law, including as set out below:

  • Our group companies. We may disclose your consumer health data with our affiliates and group companies as reasonably necessary for the purposes set out in this policy. A full list of specific affiliates is available here.
  • Service providers. We may disclose your consumer health data with companies with which we have contracted to provide services on our behalf, such as hosting websites or IT infrastructure, conducting surveys, analyzing our websites and performing analyses to improve the quality of our business, websites, products and services. We require these service providers to protect the confidentiality of your consumer health data and to restrict their use of your data as required by the MHMDA.
  • Trusted business partners. We may disclose your consumer health data with third parties that distribute our products and other trusted business partners or where you use our services to interact with another company, for example as part of their adverse event reporting program.
  • Disclosures in connection with acquisitions or divestitures. Circumstances may arise where for strategic or other business reasons Honeywell Aerospace decides to sell, buy, divest, merge or otherwise reorganize businesses. We may disclose information we maintain about you, which may include consumer health data, to the extent reasonably necessary to proceed with the negotiation or completion of a merger, acquisition, divestiture or sale of all or a portion of Honeywell’s Aerospace assets.
  • Disclosure for other reasons. We may disclose consumer health data with your consent, or if required or authorized to do so by law or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with legal requirements or with legal process served on us, to protect and defend our rights or property or, in urgent circumstances, to protect the personal safety of any individual.

How to Exercise Your Rights

You may have certain rights with respect to our consumer health data. You have the right to confirm whether we are collecting or sharing your consumer health data and to access such data; you have the right to confirm we have not sold your consumer health data; and you have the right to request that we delete your consumer health data. If we are processing your consumer health data with your consent, you have the right to withdraw that consent. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your rights.

If you have questions about your rights or wish to exercise your rights, you can contact us at Privacy@honeywellaerospace.com. Please indicate that you are making a request pursuant to your “Washington Privacy Rights” otherwise your request will be handled per Honeywell Aerospace Privacy Statement – Your rights. Please allow up to 45 days for a response.

Because Honeywell Aerospace does not intentionally collect consumer health data, please indicate to the best of your knowledge where and when you provided your consumer health data to Honeywell Aerospace. This will help us perform a directed search.

If your request to exercise a right under the MHMDA is denied, you may appeal the denial. A method for submitting an appeal will be contained in our response. If your appeal is unsuccessful, you can raise a concern or lodge a complaint with the Washington State Attorney General at www.atg.wa.gov/file-complaint.
