Overview
Honeywell's family of E/J-Band Sinuous antennas offers high sensitivity and reception of all signal polarizations. Available in various connector configurations—with or without internal hybrid assemblies and RF switches—they’re engineered for versatile deployment. The 8506674 configuration includes an integrated solid-state RF switch and quadrature coupler assembly, delivering a single RF output with selectable Right-Hand or Left-Hand circular polarization. The internal quadrature coupler combines the antenna’s linear outputs to produce circular polarization, with selection controlled via DC bias on the RF center conductor for high-speed switching. The -501 configuration is designed for installation in the airstream but can also be mounted behind a protective fairing. Honeywell’s Sinuous antennas are built for military airborne environments, including supersonic flight, and are available with a wide range of radomes and protective fairings.
