Overview
Honeywell announces a new cavity-backed low-profile spiral antenna qualified for airborne applications. The unit is extremely lightweight, utilizing composite materials for the housing. The spiral antenna employs slow-wave technologies to enhance efficiency in this electrically small design. It can be supplied in phase and amplitude matched sets for interferometer applications or as a single aperture for wideband frequency collection. Model 092-00744 delivers wideband, high-efficiency performance in a compact package. The antenna’s mechanical envelope is a 15-inch diameter by 5.5-inch deep cavity housing, operating across the 100 MHz to 500 MHz frequency range with a nominal VSWR of less than 2.5:1.
