MDM On-Orbit Tester (MOOT)

Overview
Honeywell developed a custom solution for an On-Orbit Tester for the International Space Station (ISS). With restrictions on weight and size, the MDM On-Orbit Tester (MOOT) was designed as a compact set of hardware that powers and connects the Multiplexer / DeMultiplexer (MDM) to a laptop with specialized MOOT software to diagnose a failure, load needed software and verify the MDM is operational and ready for use.

This capability will benefit future space travel as capacity for spares will be limited and On-Orbit testing will become a necessity.
